I have this theory about me and dating. Dating and me. Perhaps even me dating. Or even, dating me. Things that go together--peanut butter&jelly, lunchmeat&cheese, Asians&ddr...things that do no? Me and men.
Gah.
There is this rare class of college kid, I feel like. The one who is good enough to be the friend. The one who is good enough to hang out as sexlessly as your best guy friend (or even less so, guys in a group can be pretty ambiguously heterosexual in college) but when all conversations turn to hot girls, things turn quiet and everyone looks awkwardly at me. I mean-- that rare class of college kid. Not me.
I've always fallen for guys who would never like me back, but whatever, story of many lives. The problem comes when I realize that I am 20 yrs old and I don't know what it's like to have been on a date, to kiss a guy when I'm not drunk and unskilled and sloppy, to hold hands.
I really hate V-Day sometimes. Everyone either ignores it but it still looms, or celebrates with their honey.
Will you be my valentine, flist?
/random rumblings. What's new? |

I'll be your valentine. <3
Sure! I'll be your valentine!
I don't celebrate Valentine's day in Feb. Oddly enough hubby and I always celebrate it in April.
Live your life and be yourself. The right man will be on your path somewhere. You generally find them when you're not looking and its totally inconvientent.
I just want you to know that VD was invented to make females miserable.
Cheer up!! This is the day a few years ago when VP Cheney shot his lawyer buddy. It forever changed VD to something fun.
Oh darling, me too. Just---all of that.
Me too.
I will SO BE YOUR VALENTINE, BB.

Oh, I join that rare class most definitely. It's especially awkward when all your friends are hooked up...
This year, I've cuddled with candy and Torchwood and the internet. It seems to have worked... even if I haven't seen much of anyone all day. :P
And hey, you can't get better valentines than your FL, I say! :)
*Uber hug*
Hey, don't worry! I'm 22, and strangely this year I've decided not to worry about the fact that I'm still alone, and haven't experienced all what you mention above too...
I hate Valentine's day also, but this year it's not attacking me so much, so it's great! I still hate it a bit, but it's very bearable!
Anyway, I can be your friendlist valentine's, lol And Valentine's day should be also for friendship, what we forget oftenly, because our society is making us believe it's all about love.
So go out with some guys that you wouldn't normally go out with! Like against your type. Seriously. It might surprise you.
I know, I'm old. | |
